Tina Carmillia
Tina Carmillia is a producer and journalist focusing on science, health, environment and tech. She has reported for New Straits Times, The Star and BFM Media. She was a Wolfson Press Fellow in 2019 researching misinformation in science. She is currently expanding the research to focus on misinformation in Malaysian online spaces and Malay language users.

The project focus on fact-checking and verification mechanisms in Malaysian media outlets, the expansion of the Malay language vocabulary around misinformation, and the legislation and regulations around the spread of misinformation. Ultimately, the project seeks to contribute to the discourse around misinformation and its very real threat to public peace, safety and democracy through the publication of a Malay language book.
